The Imperial Palace Monorail station is located at the back of the Imperial Palace near the parking garage.  The Las Vegas Monorail (running from 7am to 3am Friday through Sunday and 7am to 2am Monday through Thursday) has trains arriving every few minutes, and takes you up and down The Strip in 15 minutes or less at speeds up to 50 mph.  There are Monorail stations at the Sahara, Las Vegas Hilton, Las Vegas Convention Center, Harrah’s / Imperial Palace, Flamingo / Caesars Palace, Bally’s / Paris Las Vegas, and the MGM Grand.  And there is also a free tram that goes from the Excalibur Hotel (kitty-corner from MGM) to the Luxor and Mandalay Bay too. 
 
You can order Monorail tickets and passes with your Retreat Registration and pick them up at the Retreat Sign-In, Firday Welcome Party, or anytime during the Retreat.  The following ride tickets are available: single-ride at $5 each, double-ride at $9 each, and 10-ride at $35 each.  The following passes are also available: 1-day pass is normally $15 but is on sale now through the Retreat for $9 each, and 3-day pass at $40 each (buy three 1-day passes instead of one 3-day pass).

There are 24-hour busses on The Strip, including the new 97 passenger Deuce Double Decker Busses.

The Las Vegas Strip Trolley stops every 15 minutes from 8:30am to midnight on The Strip in front of the Imperial Palace (you can buy Trolly tickets at the Imperial Palace).

And taxi service is also available just outside the front doors of the Imperial Palace.  

There are 9 specialty Restaurants (and 9 bars and lounges) inside the IP featuring a variety of tasty delights, all at moderate prices, ranging from a quick bite at the Burger Palace, Pizza Palace, Betty's Cyber Cafe, and the 24 hour Teahouse coffe shop, to the fine dining and intimate atmosphere of Embers (steakhouse and seafood restaurant), Fireside (home-style barbecue), and Ming (fine Mandarin, Cantonese, and Szechuan cuisine).

The Rockhouse bar & nightclub is located right in front of the Impeiral Palace.

The Auto Collections in the IP is the world's largest classic car museum, featuring a 125,000 square foot showroom with over 250 classic automobiles.  The Retreat's Friday Evening Welcome Party will be held in the Grand Salon inside the Auto Collections showroom on the 5th level of the IP's self-parking facility.
